BRINGING DOWN THE HOUSE

A total transformation of an outmoded one-story 1980's Balcones Village estate into a two-story masterpiece fit for entertaining and family gatherings. This residence boasts more than 3100sf after renovation, which includes four bedrooms, play area, office space, three full baths, two half baths, 15' vaulted ceilings, side porch entrance, back porch veranda with fireplace, 2 car garage, and back yard access to the Balcones Country Club golf course.

These successful business owners were looking to expand their home as they prepared to expand their family and their business. Large sections of the existing home were demolished, including almost all of the roof to make way for the 2nd story addition, which would accommodate a large play area, some much needed storage, a new bathroom, and a fourth bedroom. With the 1st floor opened up, we were able to build an entirely new kitchen from the ground up with a new layout and a much bigger footprint, allowing for upgraded appliances, cabinets, countertops, lighting, and an island fit for entertaining gatherings of all sizes. We turned the living room into a grand entertaining area as well, with 15’ vaulted ceilings and dormer windows which bathed the area in natural light. The master bath was reconfigured to add a new walk-in closet as well as a larger walk-in shower and new double vanity. Unsung in the construction process are the fully updated electrical service, water heater, plumbing, insulation, and top of the line hvac system.
